AW14: Brow Routine

What better way to enter into Autumn / Winter 2014 than with that of a bold brow!

Predicted as the 'statement' look this season, everywhere you go there are brow products available to tame, intensify, or even set unruly eyebrows in place. As crazy as it may seem keeping up with brow maintenance is one of the best ways to frame your face.

I thought I'd share with you my ridiculously quick (2-step) brow routine that I'm going for at the moment.

Brow History

I used to use the HD Brows Eye & Brow palette to shadow in my brows. It's a very versatile product that lasts forever and is worth your money. Then I went on to the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting pencil in Soft Brunette and then transited to the Anastasia Brow Wiz (£15.50). These are all fabulous products in their own right, (I would happily go back to using any one of them) they each deliver something different.

The Brow Wiz currently has my preference as the best out of the three though, as it is available at a fraction of the price of the other two and gives great results!

Shadowing in your brows is great, and it gives a very natural look, but I got to a stage where I wanted to make my brows more prominent (my brows are not dark naturally) and after experimenting with eyebrow tints, I decided to just ditch the monthly salon appointments and use a brow pencil.

What I am using for my AW2014 Brow Routine

Like the Hourglass Arch Brow, the Brow Wiz is a double ended pencil product with a good brush on one end and a wax like pencil on the other. Whilst I did get on with the Hourglass product, this would be ideal for bigger browed folk, as the nib is angled and a little larger.

Because the Brow Wiz is identical to the Arch Brow in setup, it was so simple for me to get on with. The advantage I found with the Brow Wiz is that because it has such a thinner nib and brush in comparison to the Brow Arch, it allows you to be lighter in application but also more specific in the light feather like lines you draw to fill in any gaps. I use the shade light brown.

Let me know what you like use in your brow routine!

Ps. Apologies the lighting was a little off!
